My favorite form of art has texture, movement, color, prints, structure, and is constantly evolving. That art is fashion. It never ceases to captivate me, whether on the catwalk or on the street. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been in love with fashion. Growing up with a mother who sewed and created beautiful garments, I developed an eye for memorable fashion. Around the age of 13, I started sewing and created the majority of the clothes I wore. I loved the fact that anything I wore was truly unique. When I studied apparel business and marketing, I retired my sewing machine because I realized that the fun of fashion was picking out pieces. I just didn’t have the patience for the whole creation process.
I’m a fashion lover who wound up in interior design. I’m currently a partner in a luxury carpet and textile company in West Hollywood. We work with some of the most talented interior designers and their residential and commercial projects. And while fashion can easily be translated into interiors and vice versa, I needed something more.
Fashion expression is my most powerful creative outlet. Putting together outfits is my art form. I started a lifestyle blog, Aezthetic, as a creative outlet to photograph different looks. The idea behind the name is very simple. Aesthetics go beyond fashion and art; it’s an idea of beauty. It’s the emotions and sensations behind what is seen by the eye. My blog serves as an extension of my idea of beauty-in whatever form that may be. Currently, it’s only fashion looks, but I want to grow it to include fitness, beauty, and interiors.
