Versace will launch Eros, a new fragrance for men, in November. The campaign is inspired by and deeply connected with Greek mythology. The new perfume Eros is the first in the past five years to be launched and aimed at men. According to Donatella Verace, it is a fragrance for “a hero: someone who defends his ideas and opinions”. “Eros is truly the DNA of the house of Versace,” explains Donatella. “We have the Greek motif that makes you think of ancient Greece and antiquity, mythology, and the color turquoise represents the Mediterranean. It’s very Versace.” The campaign image for the fragrance is a male model Brian Shimansky, who was shot by Mert & Marcus under Donatella Versace’s creative direction. Eros was created by Aurelien Guichard (Givaudan) and includes mint oil combined with green apple and Italian lemon.
