Best Dressed at the CMT Music Awards: Gowns, Crop Tops, and Zero Cowboy Boots

Country music fan or not, there’s some serious style at the CMT Music Awards worth checking out (and some sweet, non-fashion-related moments that Anna is ready to catch you up on). Hollywood’s ceremonies typically include the same cast of characters, whereas Nashville’s big night has a stylish twang thanks to names that might not draw as much attention out in Los Angeles. Plus, audience members were drinking out of Solo cups, so that’s awesome. Check out my best-dressed nominees and then tell me who’s your favorite.

Miranda Lambert looked pretty fantastic in a peachy-color Celia Kritharioti mini with a plunging neckline and hemline that showed off serious gams.

The floral Roberto Cavalli dress Carrie Underwood chose reminded me a lot of the one I saw on Natalie Dormer at the Glamour U.K. Woman of the Year Awards. Anyone agree?

The Voice winner Cassadee Pope looks like she’s off to a good red-carpet start if this bright crop top and ball skirt Theia combo is indicative of what she likes to wear.

Kristen Bell was at her best (and sexiest, I think!) in this dark sequined Zuhair Murad gown. Underneath the floor-sweeper, she’s wearing black satin Brian Atwood platforms.

Another non-country singer making some stylish waves was Nicole Kidman in Giambattista Valli Couture.

Brooklyn Decker, the first in a parade of white dresses, is a good reminder that if it fits perfectly, a simple dress can look absolutely stunning. Hers is Jill Stuart and available on Shopbop.

Another chic and sexy white outfit came from Brittany Kerr, squeeze of country star Jason Aldean.

Kimberly Van Der Beek, wife of actor James, looked fantastic in this classy black gown, proving what works in Hollywood can also work smashingly down South.

Kate Walsh went for a classic look in her strapless black-and-white dress. I love how the raised hemline makes for a perfect chance to show off her shoes!

Beth Behrs might’ve been one of my top favorites in this pretty black-and-white Erin by Erin Fetherston look. The lacy overlay is light as can be, but is grounded by the deep black we see underneath.

The final serious white look of the night was from LeAnn Rimes, who sizzled in a silk Rani Zakhem dress.
