The Unstoppable Rita for Adidas

From Rimmel to DKNY, the British pop star Rita Ora has been teaching us how to wear red lipstick with everything (a lesson first taught by Gwen Stefani). Now that her very own Adidas collection is about to hit the stores (mark your calendars for August 21), it is time to embrace the Ora tracksuit extravaganza and take the rouge lip challenge to the next level. In other words, let’s give the athleticwear chic another try.

The Rita x Adidas originals collaboration is bringing us everything you would expect from Ora. For example, among the long-awaited pieces we will see trackpants with sheer panels, of which the singer said: “I used to have these trousers with these see-through panels but they got ruined in the wash and I could never find another pair.” It is difficult to find these. Thank you Ora!

What else? A typical Ora varsity jacket, some leather pieces, including a sports bra (it takes a certain type of person to work out in leather, but there’s so many other ways you can rock a leather bra, right?), glow-in-the-dark detailing, sneakers and some beanies. Because you know there are days when you don’t feel like leaving house without a proper beanie. There is also a transparent rain jacket for rainy days (and next year’s festivals).

In case you’re picturing everything in black, we have to assure you that the line will certainly feature colors and prints. “There’s one look based on one of my dove tattoos. It’s the softer, more feminine side of me with its soft colors and cutouts on the sleeves with suede — you know, things that are nice to touch and feel.”

In a teaser video for #Unstoppable campaign (which we recommend to watch right now), there is an inspirational message read in Rita’s voice: “Goodbye barriers and obstacles. So long to everything holding me back. Believe in yourself and you can become anything.”

All in all the #Unstoppable line will include 5 capsules, and the piece that we will get to see end of August are just the beginning. Of course Rita is excited. For all it’s worth, she is the first female artist to collaborate with Adidas. “I’m a massive fan of the brand. I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It’s so cool that I’m able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger,” she said.
