It would seem that Kate Middleton is getting a little edgier in her fashion choices for her second pregnancy, and that’s in part thanks to fashion designer Alice Temperley. (We all remember that sheer-panel number.) Known for her girly It Brit pieces, the designer recently stepped out of her traditional lane, launching an exclusive collection for The Outnet that has cool pieces Kate could totally pull off (and possibly use to take her look to Style Icon status?) Here, Temperley’s worth-splurging-on picks and how to wear ’em.
For work: “The Louise shirt is the most versatile piece from the collection,” advises Temperley. “I would wear it with the Lila wool tapered pants and Temperley London trainers in fall or with a pair of leather trousers in the winter.”
For a date: “The Jayla embroidered tulle top is both luxurious and ultra feminine,” says the designer. “Team with a high-waisted leather skirt in the fall, and then wear it underneath one of our Temperley London wave knit cardigans in the winter.”
For the weekend: “The metallic leather biker jacket is a key piece that can be dressed up or dressed down,” says Temperley. “I would wear it with the Louise cotton shirt and a pair of tailored trousers or the Bacall pleated dress for fall. Once it becomes winter, I would wear it over a knitted dress and thick black tights.”
