Increasingly, the fashion world is worried about what happens around the globe, the sustainability and social inclusion has ceased to be a type of marketing to become a real concern, which has transformed the lives of poor communities in places as in the case of Kenya in Africa.
The “Ethical Fashion Initiative” project has changed the lives of the people of Kenya, an initiative supported by the United Nations that unites business and ethics, the goal is not make charitable, but provide opportunities for people to escape poverty so decent and fair, through fashion.
With a decent salary, some of the most marginalized artisans of Africa are connected with the best talent in the fashion industry. The organization also promotes local talents, increasing the export capacity of the region, moving the nation’s economy.
The Ethical Fashion Initiative works always seeking the highest quality standards, and for that invests in continuous training to meet what awaits the discerning fashion market, adapting traditional craft techniques to the taste of the international market.
Some brands and beloved designers of the fashion world as Ilaria Venturini Fendi / Carmina Campus, Sass & Bide, Stella Jean, Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood and the Brazilian Osklen support and partner with this project. The jeweler Chan Luu whose customers are the biggest Hollywood celebrities also surrendered to the talent of Kenyan artisans and Amsterdam Fashion TV too.
We are really waiting for the day when the fashion world will walk 100% hand in hand with social inclusion and sustainability, so these people can live and work with more dignity!
