Lauren Conrad revealed her tricks and tips for mastering holiday party dressing over at Who What Wear, and as expected, her outfit ideas are pretty darn cute. Here are three of my favorites.
Team a chunky sweater with a sequined skirt. “This is one of my favorite looks for a holiday party or Thanksgiving dinner,” writes Conrad. “Mixing textures is a fun way to add interest to an outfit, and I love how this knit sweater dresses down this floor-length sequined skirt.”

Choose a tailored jacket and skinny jeans. “A tailored jacket is one of those pieces that can completely change the look of an outfit,” advises the designer. “Pairing it with a silk blouse and a pair of skinny jeans creates the perfect look for a day at the office or out at meetings. It’s functional while remaining stylish. The pop of color from the teal pumps adds a little something extra too. I love this outfit for a busy day of meetings that ends with cocktails with my girlfriends.”
Zadig & Voltaire Vedax Dore Deluxe blazer, $700, us.zadig-et-voltaire.com; Cami NYC the Blacklace black cami, $138, caminyc.com; Citizens of Humanity Racer skinny jeans, $248, shopbop.com; Kurt Geiger London Bond shoes, $500, kurtgeiger.us
Try a slip dress and glittery oxfords. “This holiday season I’ll definitely be stepping out of my style comfort zone and trying things I haven’t worn before,” shares Conrad. “Why not, right? We all need a break from heels from time to time, and these sparkly oxfords are the perfect retreat. Worn with a flowy dress and a blazer resting on your shoulders, this look is perfect for a dinner date at your favorite restaurant.”
