If you’ve shopped an H&M designer collaboration, raise your hand. Yep, I see you all out there, waving at me. The capsule collections are major for the brand, and it goes beyond big-name designers—remember how absolutely stunning the pieces from designer Eddy Anemian were? He won the H&M Design Award for this year and some of his pieces sold out on hm.com almost immediately (I can confirm from personal shopping experience). The finalists for next year’s award have just been announced, and one of them, like Eddy, will have a shoppable collection in stores and online next October. Hurrah!
The designs here, from left to right, are from designers Andrea Jiapei Li, Fiona O’Neill, James Kelly, Leonard Kocic, and Magdalena Brozda (the other finalists are Ximon Lee, Graham Fan, and Andreas Eklöf). A panel of jurors will view the collections and announce a winner this January. What do you guys think? Which looks like something that’d translate into something you’d want to buy and wear?
