I just spent a few days in London and will tell you firsthand—there’s something different about the way women there and here (especially in NYC) dress. The folks at Lyst shared some shopping data contrasting the two cities, and the part I found most interesting involved denim. It turns out that, on average, we like to shop premium denim (think pricey, $150+ pairs from 7 for All Mankind, J Brand), while London’s coolest are totally down with more affordable pairs from high-street brands.
Topshop tops the most-bought list, followed by ASOS. Fab news? Both U.K.-based chains are available (and easy) to shop in the U.S. Also interesting: The skinny jean is universally the most popular fit, but Americans have registered an increase search in boot-cut and flare (told ya it was a big denim trend for spring). British girls like ripped and boyfriend styles more than U.S. shoppers (her favorite Topshop style, per the cold hard numbers, is the ripped Jamie).
