As of last night, New York Fashion Week fall 2015 is officially over! I can practically hear an entire army of editors, bloggers, and photographers emitting deep sighs of relief and preparing for the weekend (er, aside from those who are already off in London to do the show circuit again). When it comes to NYFW, there are a lot of constants to every season, but each is also peppered with special events and sightings that might never happen again. So what was notable about this week?
#1. Kanye West’s Adidas Show, Featuring Kylie Jenner
Kanye’s much buzzed-about show had the packed front row you’d expect (Beyonce, Rihanna, Diddy, and, duh, Kim and North) but an expected face was missing: Kylie Jenner! She turned up among the model army wearing Kanye’s new designs.
#2. North West’s Street Style
Of course little North sat front row at Kanye’s show, and it turned out that appearance was just the first of a few. She scored a ticket to Alexander Wang and rocked a custom outfit that mimicked what the runway models wore. Later, she stepped out in a vest like the ones Kanye showed.
#3. The Operating Table at Thom Browne
I couldn’t help but think of The Knick when checking out pics of the elaborate set Thom Browne’s show was conducted around (guests were seated in an area that looked like an observation galley). It was creepy-cool and worked for the black-and-white collection.
#4. Peter Copping’s Debut at Oscar de la Renta
Just like in any professional field, designers switch around spots and work for new brands. Even so, the fashion crowd (and the entire style-loving world) was extremely interested to see what Peter Copping would do at the helm of Oscar de la Renta. The verdict? Gorgeous.
#5. Football at Tommy Hilfiger
While plenty of fashion shows feel austere, with bench seating and a clean white runway, the Tommy Hilfiger show routinely relies on a more theatrical setup. This year it was all about the football field, with plenty of green, goal posts, and the sort of collegiate prep that screams Ivy League.
#6. Naomi Campbell’s Princess Moment at Zac Posen
A stunning Naomi Campbell sweeping down the Zac Posen runway never gets old, nor does it fail to disappoint an audience that’s positively humming afterward. This season, she showed off a bold metallic evening gown fit for a Disney princess.
#7. So Many Models NOT on the Runway
While combing through front row pics of celebs, I was seriously struck by how many current, still-working models were seated. Never before have so many beauties gone from walking one runway to watching another: Karlie Kloss sat with Taylor Swift at Oscar, Gigi Hadid took in Tory Burch, and Coco Rocha was at Donna Karan and Zac, among others.
#8. The Gorgeous, If Sinister, Ladies of Marc Jacobs
From the accessories to the clothes to the deep red lips, there was no doubting that Marc Jacobs had a legitimate lady of the house in mind for fall. Hemlines rarely crept above the knee, the coats were tailored in a manner Kate Middleton would love, and every single model rocked a pair of gloves on her runway walk.

#9. Victoria Beckham’s Beyond-Adorable Family
The Victoria Beckham show provides fabulous fashion, pure and simple, and the expected sighting of her crazy sweet family front row is just icing on the cake. I fell in love with this great photo of her kids hanging in her office, and seeing them here, with Harper looking so chic, was kind of the best.
#10. We Launched Podcasts!
As a commuter, I’m always after something to take up time when I’m waiting to get from point A to B. I fell hard for Serial and then when it was over…gulp. Happily, other editors at Glamour felt the same way and we introduced “What I Wore When,” a podcast series with fashion insiders spilling what they were wearing for big occasions (Rebecca Minkoff, seen backstage here, dishes on the moment she became a fashion designer. At age 13.) I’m a bit biased, but they’re seriously good listens.
