As a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills watcher, I’ve seen what Bella Hadid can do in front of the camera (an episode showed her and mom Yolanda Foster at a photo shoot) and I have to say: Not surprised at all that she’s kind of turning into a big deal. The younger Hadid sister just walked in the Tom Ford show, earned accolades from Carine Roitfeld, and is fronting Botkier’s spring campaign. She’s busy traveling right now, but when I got the opportunity to shoot some questions over via email, I took it.
AMSFTV: Congrats on the Botkier campaign! How did it feel to land that?
Bella Hadid: It was my first campaign, so definitely one of the greatest things I have done! I was so excited when I heard I got it because I’m such a big fan of the brand, and the experience was incredible. The whole team was so helpful.
AMSFTV: Did you feel prepared to enter the modeling world because of Gigi and your mom? Like you knew what to expect?
BH: There’s no way to fully know what to expect because everyone’s experiences are so different. It is nice to have a support system and have two people that are closest to me be there when I need advice, and to guide me when I need them.
AMSFTV: Have there been any jobs you’ve been disappointed not to get?
BH: I think there’s a right time for everything, and I’m a true believer that everything happens for a reason. If I don’t book a job, I like to see it not as a rejection but as a redirection to something different.
AMSFTV: Can you give us any hints about what’s next?
BH: I’m really excited about some things that are coming up, and I can’t wait to work with different photographers I admire. I just aspire to be the best I can be. I want to work hard and set one goal at a time for myself.
OK, so I already knew Yolanda Foster raised some grounded daughters when I read this interview, but now I have triple confirmation. Love her!
Can you imagine working with your sister? (Or even in the same field?)
I’m majorly impressed these two can do it so beautifully.
