I’m heartily not surprised to report that Kate Middleton’s week involved a lot of chic, perfectly pulled-together maternity outfits. Her due date is supposedly next month, and she’s starting to show more than before, visible now in the fantastic coats she’s been showing off.
See what I mean? The all-navy look she wore to a ceremony today was a lesson in monochrome perfection.
For a visit to the set of Downton Abbey (which I’m still dying over), she picked a simple white collarless coat that she kept on and buttoned-up the entire time. When your outerwear’s this good, it’s like it barely matters what you’ve got on underneath.
On Wednesday she re-wore a spotted Hobbs coat that might give off the appearance of a dress but is indeed a topper with a subtle off-center closure. She kept the look simple with a black clutch and what I think the beauty department will tell you is her best accessory of all: a “divine” ponytail (Beth’s word, not mine).
The Duchess kicked off the week attending services at Westminster Abbey in this pale pink look.
