FASHIONABLE FLOWERS by ADDY VAN DEN KROMMENACKER

Addy van den Krommenacker is one of the most amiable and modest couturiers of Dutch origin who also abroad deserves much respect. He presents his collections with great success at home and abroad and launched his first own designs in 2002, during the Beaumonde Fashion Awards. This was followed by his own couture  collection the year after. From then on, presenting his own couture collection has become an annual event. He won several Italian fashion awards. In 2011 Addy has been knighted for his international efforts and achievements in the ‘Order of Oranje-Nassau’. Addy designs for members of the royal family and celebrities all over the world. He travels back and forth between ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Milano to work on his collections. His couture collections are all made in Italy by different studios which also work for Calvin Klein, Roberto Cavalli, Armani and Gianfranco Ferré. Besides eveningwear his collection also exists of a day and tricot collection.

Pop-up store

Together with the designer, ‘De Bijenkorf’ has chosen a range for the ‘shop’. A ready-to-wear summer collection 2015. Cocktail dresses and jackets in shades of nude, gold, pink, baby blue or white with a floral print. According to Van den Krommenacker every woman must have a nude lace dress in her closet. After Amsterdam, at this moment the pop-up-store is located in Rotterdam (march 21 – april 11), next month in Den Haag (april 11 – may 2) and Maastricht (may 2 – may 23).

Addy van den Krommenacker:

“With this pop-up I give attention to my ready-to-wear collection.”

For this floral collection Addy was inspired by the work of Leo Gestel (Dutch painter 1881-1941). After the minimalism illustration, a week ago, i sketched this romantic illustration. For the entire collection check the links below.

And i can tell his au de parfum ‘Red Carpet’ goes very well by his beautifull creations. A powerful bouquet of rose, mimosa sweet and intensely seductive ylang yang.

The Couture store and Ready-to-wear are both located in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and a showroom in Milano.
