Meet Donna Air, the Super-Stylish Brit Who Could Be Kate Middleton’s Sister-in-Law

The Middleton family is is a veritable magnet for style.

We have glam Kate, of course, and then stylish sister Pippa, and now perhaps, a potential sister-in-law that could make it a sartorial trifecta!

So, it’s time we pay close attention to brother James Middleton’s girlfriend, Donna Air. The impossibly-chic British actress and TV host has has been dating brother Middleton and if the two were to wed—well, the familial fashion cred would increase exponentially. Can you even imagine the fashion chats those two would have at family gatherings? Take a look at some of her best looks:

The 35-year-old blond is a regular fashion show attendee (the simple-but-chic scarf and belted dress combo below was for last season’s Burberry show) and she has a classic, feminine style that’s a more trend-focused version of Kate’s. Her style has been professionally acknowledged too: she’s got a contributing editor gig at Hello! magazine and designs a line of jewelry for QVC.

“The honest truth is that I love not having to think about clothes, especially on weekends. I don’t wear any make-up and will put on a big T-shirt and jeans or an old dress, anything that’s comfy,” she told The Telegraph, naming a (totally accessible) high-street jean jacket as her favorite buy of the year. Luckily, her famously private relationship with Middleton is kept out of the press and requires very little ready-to-be-photographed outfits. “We don’t have a big showbiz celebrity life in any sense. In fact, our life is quite domesticated and normal.”

Air did cop to being a shoe girl, naming the accessory as one of her top five favorite things in life, alongside her home, dog, and family. “I have lots of shoes. I went to the Victoria and Albert ‘Pleasure and Pain’ shoe exhibition with a couple of friends recently and there were so many styles on display that I’ve owned over the years and thrown out or given away in the heat of the moment when I’ve run out of wardrobe space. It’s criminal, really.” Once you start examining her style, that love is apparent: she often punches up a simple outfit with a bright or detailed shoe.

Red carpet engagements are still a bit of an excitement for her and you can tell she has fun with her outfits, as evidenced by this leopard jumpsuit, jean jacket, and cherry red heels combo.

“I’m still always incredibly flattered to be asked to those red carpet events, given the fact it is such a young business. I’m actually getting more work as I get older, not less, which is really odd,” she has said.

All the street style snaps you see of Air are of outfits like this: simple basics put together in a slightly unexpected way. Also, how stylish does she make a classic turtleneck look?

Her take on the ready-for-work white blouse and black skirt is super stylish thanks to special details. Her shirt sleeves have a bit of extra volume and her skirt, just as professional as a pencil, features a wide, wrap belt. The killer shoes certainly don’t hurt either.
