Saint Laurent Reestablishes Their Haute Couture Line

After more than a decade, Saint Laurent Paris finally re-launches their Haute Couture line. In 2002, we had to say goodbye to not only the exquisite designer Yves Saint Laurent himself but also to his Haute Couture label. Now after 13 years, the brand has gone through many changes including a new name, creative director and style.

Although the current creative director, Hedi Slimane, is famous for being a fashion photographer, he is behind the reason why the brand is no longer fully named after the iconic designer and is now known as Saint Laurent Paris. On Tuesday, Slimane announced that the brand will re-launch their Haute Couture line next season but for the moment, the upcoming Haute Couture collections will not be shown during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week and are therefore only available for those who order.

For now, all we can do is patiently wait and see how things will unpack. Fingers crossed that Slimane will stick to the brand’s original identity with the brands’ proudest possession.
