This year once again, from April to October, CHANEL is installing its seasonal boutique in the heart of the village of Saint-Tropez. For the last 9 years it has become an essential summer rendezvous, an interlude that combines relaxation with the discovery of a new décor in the La Mistralée townhouse.
It is a new perception of light and space, an invitation to get carried away in an ultra-modern world. From the large living room to the vast conservatory, the walls are covered with big sheets of untreated metal. A waxed green concrete floor accompanies the steps of the visitor throughout. Inspired by the container and the docks of the Port of Hamburg, the décor pays tribute here to the Métiers d’art 2017/18 collection that will be available from May 31st.
In metal alcoves, on floating tables and on metal rails, the Spring-Summer 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection and its accessories open the season. A selection of Fine Jewellery will also be presented as well as the collection COCO CRUSH and the latest CODE COCO watch in steel or black ceramic.
Outside, the garden furniture is minimalist and geometric: large square-shape poufs surround the swimming pool. The architecture appears to be draped in camouflage, melting it completely into the natural landscape. The pool house is painted in patinated dark green and is pierced with metal frames allowing glimpses of a luxuriant décor. Inside, the walls are swathed in metal and the floor is covered with waxed dark green concrete. An audacious showcase to present the very first COCO BEACH de CHANEL swimwear and beachwear collection, available from the month of June. The collection is created for the beach and seaside resorts so naturally it makes a stopover in this legendary village.
The CHANEL pop-up boutique in Saint-Tropez opens its doors on April 14th, 2018 and will remain open until October 28th.
