Marianna Cimini Spring Summer 2019 collection draws inspiration from Holi, a Hindu celebration that announces the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil. People pour into the streets dressed in white, and colored powders made from flowers are thrown into the air to represent rebirth and reconciliation. Colors, abstract and impalpable elements, become a physical and ideal character that indiscriminately cover every person in a single bright whirl.
In the continuous research for materials and shades, Marianna Cimini finds in this celebration the essential elements for the Spring Summer 2019 collection: a fluid and dynamic style where colors are protagonists in different shapes and on different materials.
The color palette ranges from nude to total black and total white tones, with peaks of light on bright shades of lime, coral, orange, turquoise and cyclamen.
The prints, created ad hoc for the collection, feature all-over prints with maxi stylized Holi-inspired flowers, stripes and graphic elements.
Fabrics are precious as organza in colored silk, seersucker cotton with 3D embroidery, glossy printed viscose satins, impalpable georgette and denim. In contrast, impalpable ultralight nylon duster, double-sided envers satin with opaque and glossy games.
The volumes, due to the brand DNA, are over and slipped, with strong influences from 90s style: straight lines and pawn trousers are associated with jumpsuits and pencil skirts, sleeveless blazers and coulisse dresses with rouches.
For the first time, a capsule dedicated to the denim world is presented: high-waisted trousers, pencil skirt, an over shirt and a jacket are reinterpreted with the taste of the brand, responding to an ever-increasing market demand.
Marianna Cimini brand has always developed and produced collections in Italy, respecting the standards of Made in Italy. The fabrics are 100% Italian and the prints are original and created ad hoc for the collections.
Fashion designer Marianna Cimini was born in Milan, but she grew up on the Amalfi Coast. At 17, she moved to Milan to attend the Istituto Marangoni di Fashion Design. After several collaborations with major brands (Max Mara, Fay, Miroglio), thanks to the support of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, she presented her first capsule collection at the Milan Fashion Week. The very positive reactions of the press and of the public pushed her to embark on a new adventure: the launch of the Marianna Cimini brand. The brand has a strong Italian imprint which emerges both in its style and in its refined simplicity, which are mixed with an original Mediterranean freshness. It appeals to a woman who is perfectly at ease with her femininity and who looks for clothes that act as partners rather than as protagonists. This woman is modern, dynamic and prefers to attract the attention of others through the elegant discretion of fine details. The Marianna Cimini brand is also characterized by the quality of its fabrics and by the original prints, whose Mediterranean essence, reinterpreted in an urban way, gives joy and lightness to the rigorous lines. Luxury, expressed through a constant research in fabrics and volumes, focuses on a concept of elegance that can make a woman feel like a protagonist, anytime and anywhere.
