The reopening of the historic Maison Schiaparelli

Reopening of the most iconic of the brands Elsa Schiaparelli, the fashion house founded by the designer with the same name, who was born in Rome and who later moved to Paris, ceasing activity in 1954. “The idea with Schiaparelli is to propose the brand with all its modernity, and represent dreams, art and all the most sophisticated things we can do” Della Valle told WWD. “The heart of this project will be the Parisian maison in Place Vendôme, in the original location where the first atelier was.” The choice of the designer is between two names: John Galliano and Rodolfo Paglialunga. “There’ll be no bowing down to commercial pressures,” points out Diego Della Valle however. “For Schiaparelli we want a job done in the best possible way, both in taste and quality, with all the calm necessary to do so.”
