Chanel Fall 2012 Couture | Paris

For Chanel’s Fall 2012 Couture show, Karl Lagerfeld threw a garden party in Paris’s Grand Palais. The haute couture was dubbed with the name, “New Vintage”. A color palette of soft grey, pastel pink, taupe and ivory set the tone for the fall season with patchwork prints and crystal embroidered garments. Classic silhouettes were made modern with metallic sleeves and belts. Lagerfeld said “They toil over the clothes. The tulle with pearl took 3,000 hours.” (…) “Couture is for a world of privilege.”
