Reese Witherspoon just shared some new info on her lifestyle brand, Draper James, and guys, I’m excited! “I love the Southern traditions that I grew up with. My grandmother instilled in me a love for dressing up and hosting family,” Reese told Cricket’s Circle, a site for mothers of young children. “She surrounded herself with colorful flowers and beautiful things, and I wanted to bring all these ideas to a retail experience. It’s my way of giving back to the place I love the most.”
The site reminds me of Blake Lively’s Preserve—Reese says Draper James will “sell products made in the South by local artisans who are sharing their own traditions. Think looming blankets, casting silver, and denim.” I’ve felt kinda lukewarm about Preserve, namely because the prices are pretty high and because Blake’s style doesn’t quite line up with my own. I’m predicting Draper James will be more my cup of tea (and hopefully more budget-friendly) because if these pics of her Ojai house are anything to go by, Reese has amazing taste in home decor.
