With Marc Jacobs’ papparazzi-packed, red-carpet-worthy show last night, New York Fashion Week spring 2016 is officially over. We kept our eye out for all the celebs who sat front row (like Joe Jonas at Tommy Hilfiger and Nicki Minaj at Givenchy), but there was one especially well-dressed attendee who stood out from the crowd because, guys, she has a title.
Princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia isn’t just a titled power shopper—she owns her own boutiques, meaning that Fashion Week is a work trip for her to select future items she might want to sell in-store. For the Delpozo show, she wore a buttery yellow shirtdress with red accents on the top that were set off by her matching purse. Her shoes were simple black sandals with a cute bow tie.
She did the hue in more of a daffodil variety for the Zero + Maria Cornejo show, taming a glamorous full skirt with a laid-back crewneck sweater, sleeves pushed up to really heighten the relaxed vibe.
The play with bright jewel tones continued straight to the Rodarte show, where she picked another statement bottom, this time done via vivid cobalt Rosie Assoulin. The strong color was repeated with her shoes too, as well as in the title of her book clutch.
For the DKNY show, the much buzzed-about debut from new label designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, she left the brights at home for a darker palette. Her tricolor bag, with red and white contrasting against all the black, was her one major standout accessory.
To finish NYFW it was pure snowy white. Her beige sandals were super simple, but lean in and take a close look at her curved earrings. They make a big statement, no?
