Like pretty much everyone I know, I view Meryl Streep as if she’s always basking in a warm, rosy light of perfection and grace and, in my mind, her accomplishments extend past what she’s done as an actress to include her seemingly well-adjusted daughters. The youngest, Louisa Gummer, was mom’s date at The Giver premiere in NYC last night and she was a serious contender for best dressed of the night.
The double-breasted blazer as blouse? The sparkly cropped pants? I’m loving it all. Louisa’s a professional model (signed to IMG) so I guess we can’t be terribly surprised that she’s mastered the laid-back, sexy red carpet thing. Also, though, can’t you totally imagine Meryl wearing this exact outfit, too?
In coordinating pinks and reds, it looked like Katie Holmes, Odeya Rush, and Taylor Swift (in Zac Posen, Georges Hobeika Couture, and Monique Lhuillier) didn’t clue Louisa in on the nights unofficial dress code, but no matter. She looked just as chic in her own color palette.
