It goes without saying that British model Jourdan Dunn absolutely kills it on the most esteemed runways during Fashion Month and in the haute-est fashion campaigns in the biz (Saint Laurent, Burberry, and Rag & Bone, to name a few). She’s a member of the affectionately termed “Balmain Army,” alongside fellow style icon (and BFF) Cara Delevingne, she walked the Victoria’s Secret runway show in 2012, and she had the honor of strutting alongside Brit legends Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss in the epic Summer Olympics closing ceremony. And Jourdan was pretty amazing (i.e., HOT) in Beyoncß’s “Yoncé” video with Joan Smalls and Chanel Iman (that counts, right?). But for this week’s installment of Glamour Style Icon, I’d like to highlight the model’s non-runway or glossy mag looks—because every day is Fashion Week if you’re Jourdan Dunn. Let’s take a look:
Like fellow Balmain favorite Kendall Jenner, Jourdan wore…Topshop to the ball-gown-themed Met Gala this year. But a pretty glorious, bold yellow silk gabardine confection by the high-street chain, of course.
Can we please talk about this fabulous Balmain fall 2014 dress that Jourdan wore at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala at Cannes? The vivid hue looks beautiful on her (yellow is definitely her color), and the exquisite rope weaving detail is just sublime. Never mind the dress fits her like a glove.
Did I mention that Jourdan is known in the business for her insanely long and ridiculously gorgeous legs? So clearly a shot of her in this Elie Saab spring 2014 mini-halter-dress must be included in the mix. The World Music Awards was a lucky, lucky place this past May.
We know Jourdan can do black-tie and cocktail like a boss, but her street-slash-front-row-style makes just as big of a statement. At the Burberry Prorsum men’s show in London this past June, Jourdan went casual-sexy-cool with a leather moto jacket over a T-shirt and skinny black jeans.
Again: legs. This drape-y, fringy, see-through-in-all-the-right-places Stella McCartney dress was just made for her. Just a random night out, when you’re supermodel Jourdan Dunn.
Jourdan made all the VMAs best-dressed lists in this minimalist but totally sexy Balmain bandeau top and floor-length ball-gown skirt set. I’m pretty sure a bunch of girls went and chopped their hair into a blunt cut lob after this moment too.
